5/27/2023 0 Comments Rin tin tin book review![]() ![]() I simply didn’t want this brilliant story to end, and it doesn’t because so many people keep alive the life and accomplishments of Lee Duncan and of his extraordinary dog, Rin Tin Tin. Susan Orleans’ traveled widely researching swirling myth and facts interviewing Lee’s family, friends and colleagues about Rin Tin Tin. So is a wonderful book called To Nick from Jan, which has many similarities to Trixie Belden except the main character is almost 17 years old. The original silent film is based on Lee’s early life. Rin Tin Tin the dog as movie star was born too. Using his empathic gift and creativity, Lee wrote the first Rin Tin Tin movie, an instant box office hit. Lee was a dreamer who felt most alive in wilderness, working with animals. ![]() Leland Duncan loved animals, particularly dogs and found homes for all except two puppies he kept named Nanette and Rin Tin Tin. found them and transported them back to his barracks. Their streak of luck continued when a young American G.I. His mother and siblings were lucky to survive direct artillery hits to their battlefield kennel. Blogcritics praised the depth of the book and wrote that It was fascinating to read about the 16 million animals. ![]() This majestic dog was born on the WWI battlefields in France in 1918. It is a non-fiction account of Rin Tin Tin. But his life was so much more– good and bad luck, companionship, pathos and inspiration. His meteoric rise to fame, fortune, ambassadorship and merchandising empire is well documented. Rin Tin Tin, is the superhero German shepherd and timeless icon known worldwide for his action films and television adventure series. ![]()
